A definite comeback, Laurèl’s S/S11 collection lived up to the hype. Presenting in Berlin for the first time, the once Escada sister-brand delivered very wearable looks. The label remained true to its DNA, although embodied by a much more contemporary persona. Perhaps deemed too safe by some and by Berlin standards (sure, if you compare it to the city’s avant-garde labels), the collection was a strong statement of positioning for the luxury (pseudo) newcomer, one that more often than not is followed by commercial success.
