Holy Ghost’s S/S13 collection is an under-the-sea expedition featuring refreshingly perky, sometimes even smiling, mermaid-like models floating down the runway with flowing, ethereal fabric trailing behind them. Rather appropriately, with the Berlin ‘monsoon’ and the trek to the heart of Tiergarten to the Mercedes Benz tent, I was adequately drenched, adding to the sense of being under water.
As highlighted in PERRET SCHAAD’s S/S13 collection, turquoise is emerging as the colour of the season and the Holy Ghost trio aren’t shy to play with this as much as they can—to surprising effect. Full-length dresses, blouses, and even shorts were painted with the turquoise brush that is evidently a popular choice for the S/S13 season. This colour worked best when courting the red-headed models, so if you’re aiming to re-create this look yourself, go all out and accessorize with autumn-tone locks.
