Berlin Fashion Week is usually about anything but Berlin. The shows are mostly focused on a Munich mentality, with lots of commercial fare. But Kaviar Gauche magnificently represented the hometown spirit with a line-up of Tom Ford for Gucci-inspired column dresses and elegantly cut cream silk trousers paired with latex tops. The mix of a sex-shop material with cocktail wear was a standard in the naughty nineties but hasn’t been revived sufficently–and the Gauche duo did a masterful job of making it fresh. They remain one of Berlin’s most consistent and faithful brands, ready to stand up to represent Berlin fashion every day.
